Streaming one of our live lessons, either a free training or one of our 4 monthly live VIP Club lessons, needs a good internet connection.

We're streaming our lessons all over the world, and we make sure that we're doing everything we can on our end to make sure that we're streaming a high-quality video.

Here are a few tips to help you get the best experience possible when streaming a live lesson:

1. Use a good browser.

The software we use for our live lessons HIGHLY recommends either Google Chrome or Mozilla Firefox for your internet browser. As live hosts, we cannot even access the site using Microsoft Edge or Apple Safari, so stay away from these browsers for your live lesson.

They're both free here:

Google Chrome - www.google.com/chrome

Mozilla Firefox - https://www.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/

2. Turn off ALL distractions.

This means shutting down all windows you have open that having nothing to do with the lesson. Even a page that is just sitting there, is taking up space for your internet bandwidth. Especially things like Facebook, YouTube, Dropbox etc.

3. Plug into your modem.

Using an ethernet cable to plug your laptop or desktop directly into the modem is the quickest way to dramatically improve your connection, allowing yourself to stream at a much faster rate.

4. Downloads.

Make sure that your device and all others in the household are not downloading anything. This includes Dropbox, movie downloads and streaming. So if a partner or child is streaming music, just ask them to give it a quick break for an hour or so :-)

5. Turn off Wifi on other devices.

This includes your cell phones. Even when not in use, they are gathering information from your internet connection, so best to turn that off as well.

If you do continue to have issues during the live lesson you can click the 'RECONNECT' button which is just above the lesson video.

If this doesn't solve it for you, try refreshing your browser, or close the window, and open the lesson again using the link we sent you.

Of course, you can always reach out to support@guitarmasterymethod.com if you need any further help :-)
